Asami Beniya-Berlioz has a multicultural musical background, and her career is taking her 
down a dynamic path ranging from working with opera singers as a vocal coach and piano 
accompanist, to a vibrant chamber music agenda with numerous projects and most recently, 

the release of her first CD recording. 

Asami Beniya-Berlioz started piano at the age of six and studied piano in her local town in 
Japan before going through a special music orientated high school in Aichi, to the Showa Music University in Tokyo until 2009. During her time at university in Japan, she studied with renowned professors from the Russian Piano School in Tokyo including such teachers as Andrei Pisarev, Serguei Dorensky, Pavel Nersessian, Boris Petrusiansky, along with other internationally acclaimed professors such as John O'Connor, Sergio Perticaroli, Philippe Giusiano and Kevin Kenner. During her time there, she obtained scholarships at both her university and the Russian Piano School. 

During Asami's studies with Serguei Dorensky in Japan, he enticed her to go and study in 
Europe, to expand her musical horizon and experience. On his recommendation, she decided to go and study in France. 
In France, Asami Beniya-Berlioz started studying in 2009 at the prestigious Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, where she obtained her chamber music diploma in 2013, in famous French violinist Devy Erlih's class. In parallel, she studied at the Paris National Conservatory where she obtained in 2014 her second chamber music diploma under Pascal Proust's guidance. 

To broaden her artistic approach, Asami Beniya-Berlioz chose to pursue her studies at the 
Rueil-Malmaison National Conservatory where she obtained in 2015 her diploma in piano 
accompaniment in Angéline Pondepeyre's class, her piano diploma with honours in Pascal 
Amoyel's class and her chamber music diploma with honours in Michel Moragues's class. In 2020 she obtained her bachelor's degree in ethnomusicology at the Paris X university. 

Asami Beniya-Berlioz has won numerous prizes at international competitions including the 
first prize in chamber music at the International Music Competition "Grand prize Virtuoso" in London, United-Kingdom in 2016. In 2018 she won the second prize at the International Music Competition "Premio citta di Padova" in chamber music and most recently won the Leonid Maximov Award for piano accompaniment at the International Singing Competition in Basel, Switzerland.

 
Asami Beniya-Berlioz's career has led her to collaborate with renowned musicians such as Eric Aubier (himself a student of famous French trumpet player Maurice André), Ivry Gitlis and Nicolas Chatenet, during their concerts and masterclasses along with other events. She has also specialized in the opera repertoire as an opera vocal coach and piano accompanist. Asami has worked on a wide range of music including the production of Die Fledermaus by Strauss at the Massy Opera House, Gluck's "Ivrogne corrigé" at the Sens National Theatre in 2017 and at the Versailles Musical Academy in 2015. 
Asami Beniya-Berlioz has recently been working on promoting French composers, but her 
repertoire ranges more broadly from composers such as Scarlatti, Clementi, Verdi, to Janacek.

She has played Stravinsky's piano concerto with the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory orchestra and Mozart's concerto for two pianos with French conductor Joachin Jousse. As a vocal coach and piano accompanist, Asami has mainly worked on French and Italian operas whereas in chamber music, she has played in various formations including duets, trios and last year recorded Poulenc's sextet, trio, and sonatas for four hands and flute in Tokyo,

 Japan. 
She is also the lead member and founder of the Piano Duo Ruban, a duet specialized in piano four hands and two pianos, for which she has won several awards and prizes in international competitions across Europe. Her duet has notably been invited to play at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK and at the Muza Kawasaki Music Festival for young talents in Japan.

She has just finished recording a new album called "Feria" inspired by French composer 
Maurice Ravel's Spanish Rhapsody, paying tribute to French composers such as Ravel, Séverac, Delibes, and Mel Bonis.

 
Asami Beniya-Berlioz currently holds a teaching position at the Montesson Conservatory of music where she has been teaching piano since 2018.

Asami Beniya-Berlioz a commencé le piano à six ans au Japon avant de s’orienter vers des

études spécialisées à l’université « Showa Académie » de Tokyo jusqu’en 2009.

Elle a par la suite choisi  la France pour poursuivre sa formation, à l’Ecole Normale de

Musique de Paris où elle a obtenu son diplôme supérieur de musique de chambre

dans la classe de Davy Erlih et en parallèle au Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de

Paris, où elle a obtenu en 2014 son DEM dans la classe de Pierre Réach. Elle a également obtenuson diplôme de musique de chambre dans la classe de Pascal Proust. Après des études au CRR de Paris, Asami Beniya-Berlioz a obtenu ses diplômes d’accompagnement, dans la classe d’Angéline Pondepeyre, de Virtuosité à l’unanimité dans la classe de piano de Pascal Amoyel en 2015, et en 2020, elle a obtenu sa Licence d’éthnomusicologie à la faculté de Paris X ainsi que son diplôme de musique de chambre dans la classe de Michel Moragues, au CRR

 

de Rueil-Malmaison.

Lauréate de nombreux concours internationaux, elle a obtenu le Premier Prix en musique de chambre en 2018 au concours « Grand Prize Virtuoso » de Londres ; le Deuxième Prix de musique de chambre du concours « Premio cita di Padova » en Italie, et plus récemment le Prix d’accompagnement « Leonid Maximov » au concours international de chant de Bâle, en Suisse.

Asami Beniya-Berlioz a collaboré avec des musiciens de renom tels que le trompettiste Eric Aubier (élève de Maurice André), et le violoniste Ivry Gitlis.

Son travail l’a amené à collaborer avec l’Opéra de Massy, le Théâtre de Sens et l’Académie Musicale de Versailles. Par ailleurs, elle a fondé plusieurs ensembles tels que le « Piano Duo Ruban », le sextuor « Ensemble Lux » et le trio lyrique «Rossignol ». Depuis 2020, Asami BENIYA-BERLIOZ est représentée par l’agence Vida Art Management. En 2021, son « Piano Duo Ruban »  a sorti son premier album CD « Feria » rendant hommage aux compositeurs français du XXème siècle.

Elle enseigne également le piano au conservatoire de Montesson depuis 2018.

愛知県豊橋市出身。6歳よりピアノを始める。

私立桜丘高等学校音楽科を特待生として卒業。昭和音楽大学ピアノ演奏家コース給費生として研鑽を積んだ後、2009 年渡仏。

パリ・エコールノルマル音楽院ピアノ科及び室内楽科において高等ディプロムを取得後、パリ地方音楽院にて国家資格であるDEM(音楽研究資格)を取得し卒業。

その後、リュエイユ=マルメゾン地方音楽院の伴奏科において同じくDEMを取得。同音楽院ピアノ科の最高課程であるヴィルトゥオーゾ課程を審査員満場一致で首席卒業。また室内楽科の最高課程であるエクセロンス課程において審査員満場一致で卒業。

パリ・ナンテール大学を優秀な成績で卒業。

第 20、22 回日本ピアノ教育連盟主催ピアノ・オーディション全国大会出場。第4回アールンピアノコンクール 第4位併せてシューマン賞、テクニック賞受賞。第 17 回日本クラシック音楽コンクール全国大会入選。2007 年カワイ楽器主催ロシアン・ピアノスクール in 東京受講。

2014年リュエイユ=マルメゾン地方音楽院学内オー ケストラとストラヴィンスキーのピアノ協奏曲を共演。イタリア・ピエトラサンタにて招聘されコンサートに出演。2016年シャトゥーピアノコンクール第 2 位(1 位無し) (仏)。

またその傍ら、コレペティートル、室内楽奏者として幅広く活動。2015年にはマシーオペラ座にてシュトラウス『こうもり』、2017年にはサンス歌劇場にてグルック『L'ivrogne corrigé』、パリ18区区立音楽院にてモーツァルト『フィガロの結婚』のコレペティートルを務める。また、Rencontres Musicales Céretanes、Académie Musicale de Versaillesなど講習会の公式伴奏者も務める。その他、”Salieri- Zinetti”国際室内楽コンクールセミファイナリスト(伊)(Quatuor éclats)となるほか、2021年にはバーゼル国際声楽コンクールにてバーゼル歌劇場のコレペティートルのLeonid Maximov氏の推薦によりLeonid Maximov賞を受賞。

2016年に結成したPiano Duo Rubanにて、デュオとして初めて出場したロンドン“Grand Prize Virtuoso”国際音楽コンクールにて第1位、受賞者演奏会にてロイヤルアルバートホールで演奏する。その他にミューザ川崎で行われたミューザサマーフェスタの一環で行われた若手音楽家支援事業のミニコンサートに選出される。レオポルド・ベラン国際音楽コンクール第2位(仏)、Cita di Padova国際コンクール(伊)、France Music Competition(仏)第3位、クララシューマン国際コンクール第2位、Tiziano Rossetti国際音楽コンクール第1位、ロンドンクラシカル音楽コンクール第3位、Gloria Artis音楽コンクール第I位、VIVALDI国際音楽コンクール第1位、ガブリエル・フォーレワールドコンクール満場一致の第1位、第25回 PIETRO  ARGENTO国際音楽コンクール第2位(伊)。またリュエイユ＝マルメゾン地方音楽院の学内オーケストラとモーツァルトの2台のピアノのためのピアノ協奏曲を共演するほか、宗次ホールのランチタイムコンサートに出演。2021年には1st CD『Feria！』をリリース。

 

2020年にはトランペット界フランスの至宝と呼ばれるエリック・オービエ氏と共演する。またフランス国内にてパリオペラ座首席トランペット奏者N.Chatenet氏、世界的ヴァイオリニスト故イヴリー・ギドリス氏などのマスタークラスの伴奏を務める。

 

これまでにピアノを森田幸子、長谷川淳、金子勝子、安田正昭、M.Wladkowski、P.Réach、P.Amoyel、伴奏法 を A.Pondepeyre、J.Le Herissier、室内楽を故 D.Erlih、P.Proust、M.Moragues、パイプオルガンを P.Goussot、声楽を田野崎加代の各氏に師事。現在、ピアノを F.Rossano、ピアノデュオをリュドミラ•ベルリンスカヤ、アルチュール・アンセルの各氏に師事する他、ナンシー国際音楽アカデミー、トゥールーズフランス歌曲アカデミー、Vila-seca music festival、フランシス・プーランクアカデミー、MusicAlp夏季国際アカデミーなど国内外のアカデミーを受講する。

2024年までモンテッソン市立音楽院のピアノ科講師を務め後進の指導に当たる。

現在、フリーのコレペティートル、室内楽奏者、ピアノ講師として活動する。
